Why we care:
Staying active and getting fit is one of the best things you can do for your overall health! It keeps your heart strong, your muscles and bones healthy, and your body full of energy. Regular movement helps you sleep better, feel happier, and manage stress more easily. Plus, it can lower your chances of developing health problems like heart disease or diabetes. Whether it’s a walk, a dance session, or a workout, staying active helps you feel your best and live a longer, healthier life.
To get you started, remember:
If you're not currently active, try starting with 10 minutes 3 times per week.
Try picking something you enjoy, so you can stick with it!

30-90 minutes of moderate physical activity is recommended 5 times per week.

Current recommendations are to limit alcoholic beverage servings to 2 per week.

Try working out with a friend to stay consistent, it can help to have some accountability.

Increase in muscle mass helps keep blood sugars down as well, a great way to prevent diabetes.
